ECOFIX Instant Pothole Repair Mix
Ecofix is an advanced, ready-to-use cold asphalt patching mix developed for quick and durable pothole repairs. It is made from recycled aggregates derived from industrial metallurgical wastes of iron and steel slag, offering a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to conventional mixes. Its cohesive, water-resistant formulation ensures strong bonding and long-lasting performance, even under adverse conditions such as waterlogged potholes.
Compared to traditional asphalt mixes, Ecofix delivers superior rutting resistance, stability (>8 kN), and water resistance with a TSR of more than 80%. It retains workability for up to 6–7 months under varying temperature conditions, making it cost-effective and reliable for long-term storage and use.
Ecofix requires no heating or tack coating and can be applied directly at ambient temperature, reducing energy use and emissions. Application is simple: clean and prepare the pothole (removing loose material and excess water), pour the Ecofix mix, spread evenly with a slight crown, and compact using manual tampers, plate compactors, rollers, or even traffic movement. The road can be opened to traffic immediately after compaction, with no curing time needed.
